Resolution 78-79-21
Academic Calendar; Course Scheduling
AThe intention of this proposed 1980 academic calendar
reform is to assure that the Fall semester is completed before the winter
recess and that the Spring semester is completed as early as feasible given a
two to three week winter recess and a one-week spring recess.@ The resolution also states that any academic unit
that wishes to start courses at unique times is encouraged to do so and that
they are encouraged Ato experiment@ with offering some classes in the form of shorter
modules and at different times in the Summer.
