Resolution 79-80-12

Academic Deans; Appointment Process; Assessment

All deans (and similar positions at same administrative level with various titles) receive an initial appointment of 5 years on a simple majority vote of the faculty in the appropriate school or college. Reappointments for a subsequent term of 5 years shall require: (a) Recommendation by the appropriate vice president or the president; and (b) A secret ballot and simple majority vote of the faculty in the appropriate school or college. This would apply retroactively for all incumbents.
