1984 Olympics
Whereas: The plans for
the 1984 Olympics call for a number of events to involve the USC campus,
whether directly or because of its proximity to the Coliseum and the Sports
Arena; and Whereas: The potential exists that such events may adversely effect
some faculty activities, both in research and in teaching; Therefore Be It
Resolved: That the Faculty Senate be on record that appropriate mechanisms be
developed , with faculty representation, that would minimize the inconveniences
and adverse effects upon faculty as a consequence of the 1984 Olympic events.
