Resolution 81-82-18
Doris Dunn; Grievances
The Faculty Senate urges
the President, in accord with nationally accepted standards of academic due
process, good academic practice, and the past policy recommendations of the
Senate, to return for reconsideration the grievance case of Assistant Professor
Doris Dunn to the Tenure and Privileges Hearing Board which heard the
grievance. In accord with national standards, the Senate advises the President
to convey to the Hearing Board any reservations he may have regarding their
findings and any recommendations he may have with respect to their further
actions. It further advises the President to defer final decision on the case
until receiving the Board=s reconsidered findings and recommendations. The
Faculty Senate urges the Tenure and Privileges Hearing Board in the grievance
case of Professor Dunn to reconsider their finding and recommendation in light
of any reservations which the President may convey. The Senate further advises
the Hearing Board to be guided by the grievance principles and procedures
currently being drafted by the Senate Executive Board.
