Roles and Responsibilities; Special Faculty

A report from the Ad Hoc Committee on Faculty Development that presents the following findings: AWithin USC there is an almost total absence of clear and precise policy statements which specify faculty members= teaching responsibilities, evaluation of the execution of those responsibilities and substantive decisions regarding faculty members. This lack of policy creates widespread uncertainty, confusion and problems for both faculty and administrators.@ The Report goes on to make five recommendations to address this problem.
