Resolution 82-83-12

Retirement Benefits; TIAA/CREF

Faculty who were at least 65 on June 30, 1982 and retired and were subsequently employed on a year by year basis, received an 8% contribution from the University toward TIAA/CREF. This condition of employment was unilaterally discontinued by the University Administration on July 1, 1982. Whereas, the Faculty Senate believes that any and all changes of employment should be mutually agreed upon we therefore call upon the Administration to resume payment of the TIAA/CREF benefit at an 8% rate to this group of faculty.
