Costs of Health Insurance
Whereas, a medical
insurance plan allowing freedom in the selection of the providers of health
care is regarded as essential by many members of the faculty, and, Whereas, the
recent experience of the University with Blue Cross, Pacific Mutual, and the
self-insured plans indicates that adverse self-selection may jeopardizes such
plans; Be It Resolved That: That the University address the need for such an
insurance option in a manner which is actuarially and financially sound, and
affordable to those who desire such a plan, as expeditiously as possible.
