Mandatory Retirement; Retirement Benefits
Whereas: The present
mandatory retirement age for faculty is 70 and faculty who are not enrolled in
one of the early retirement plans and who remain employed beyond 65 years of
age receive no University contribution to their retirement plan; and Whereas:
The Faculty Environment Committee strongly endorses the position that all
faculty who decide to remain employed to the mandatory retirement age continue
to receive all benefits, including the University=s contribution to retirement plans; Therefore Be It
Resolved: That there be no diminution of benefits to (employed) faculty prior
to the mandatory retirement age.
