Senate Constitution

Due to the fact that current Senate Constitution identifies three elected officers but not establish their primary responsibilities and authority, this resolution recommends inserting the following language into a new Section 3: ASection 3. The president shall be the executive officer of the Faculty Senate and shall preside at meetings of the Senate and the Executive Board. The vice-president shall assist the president as required, shall serve in the absence of the president in all instances, and shall be prepared to assume the duties of the president. The secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of the Faculty Senate. The immediate past president shall serve in the absence of both president and vice president.@
