Committee on Teaching; Senate Bylaws

I Move That: The Bylaws of the Faculty Senate be amended to add the following as a standing committee: Committee on Teaching. The Committee on Teaching shall review and make recommendations concerning teaching practices and policies within the University. It shall propose measures for the improvement and recognition of teaching effectiveness. The focus of this committee shall be the quality of classroom and laboratory instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
