Dental Plan; Health Insurance Plans
Given the increase in
premium rates fort he indemnity health care plans, this resolution Aresolves that the Administration should: (1)
Implement, at an early date, means by which the indemnity health care plans may
be continued without exorbitant annual premium rate increases while still
maintaining adequate general and catastrophic and long term coverage, and (2)
Implement a U.S.C. PPO plan utilizing the resources of the School of Medicine
and the Student Health Center for both outpatient and inpatient services (to be
provided in a contracting hospitals [sic] until such time as the U.S.C.
teaching hospital becomes a reality) and (3) Implement, at an early date, the
alternative dental care plans, either through the current carrier or through
another carrier in order to expand the coverage with minimal premium rate
increases.@
