Draft Proposals; Faculty Handbook; Senate Executive Board

A resolution urging that Athere should be full collegial consultation with the Faculty Senate whenever university policies affecting the faculty are under consideration@ and to be placed in the Faculty Handbook. The resolution calls for all draft proposals to be submitted to the Faculty Senate Executive Board, that a Senate representative belong to committees drafting such policies, and that formal review of the final draft by the Faculty Senate Executive Board or the full Senate should take place. The resolution concludes by stating that Aonly policies collegially approved in this way should be published in the Faculty Handbook.@
