Board of Trustees; President Sample

Whereas, the Board of Trustees has appointed Steven B. Sample, Ph.D., as the tenth President of the University of Southern California, effective March 31, 1990, and Whereas, President-designate Sample appears to continue the tradition of collegiality appropriate and necessary for a research university as a community of scholars, and Therefore, Be It Resolved that the Faculty Senate, as the representative body of the faculty of this University of Southern California, wishes to welcome President Steven B. Sample, Ph.D., and to work with him to continue making USC a truly outstanding University.
