Whereas the 1991 merit
review survey has identified dissatisfactions with the results of the process,
in general, and especially with salary adjustments not reflecting the review
and salary inequities due to inversion/compression, gender and age; Therefore
Be It Resolved that the University, through the President and Provost (a)
instruct all Deans/Directors to develop a plan to rapidly redress inequities
such as the above that do exist, and (b) make a commitment to require
Deans/Directors to fund and implement the plans they develop.
