Resolution 91-92-06

 

Academic Planning; Faculty Participation;  President Sample

 

Whereas, the Faculty Senate has worked toward initiating a process for long range academic planning for the University, and, Whereas, President Sample has indicated his intention to initiate such a process and has welcomed Senate cooperation in setting it up, Therefore Be It Resolved By The Faculty Senate That, the Senate commends President Sample=s action in commencing the important process of planning for the University=s academic future and pledges its full assistance in that project, and Be It Further Resolved, that a Faculty Senate Commission on the Future of the University will invite suggestions from all members of the University faculty, to be made available, along with the Commission=s draft proposals to the members of the Planning Committee and to the Senate, and Be It Further Resolved, that the Commission=s draft proposal will be considered by the Faculty Senate, and that the official position as adopted by the Faculty Senate will be conveyed to President Sample and his committee.
