Governance; Senate Resolutions
A resolution submitted by
the Health Sciences Caucuses that the Faculty Senate focus on fewer
resolutions, requests monthly updates on the status of Senate resolutions, and
identifies six Along-standing issues as important to the faculty.@ These issues are: implementation of chairperson
reviews, correction of salary compression, correction of salary inequities
based on gender, protection of faculty rights and research space, equality of
fringe benefits, and seeking University approval of sexual harassment policy.
The resolution calls upon other faculty governance bodies to identify the chief
concerns among their faculty and report these to the Senate.
