Whereas, The Senate=s Commission on the Future of the University has
highlighted the importance of the campus ambience to student education,
recruitment and retention. The Senate=s Commission on Student Cultural Life has made the
interim recommendation that the planning process attend to this topic. Be It
Resolved That, The Faculty Senate, respectfully requests that each academic
unit consider what it is now doing, and what more can it do over the next
decade, to contribute to the vitality of the cultural and intellectual
environment the campus provides for our students beyond the classroom.
