The Tyranny of 18-49

Sponsored by The USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center

Wed, April 9, 2003 from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

Admission: Free

Davidson Conference Center (DCC)
University Park Campus

RSVP via E-mail

A panel discussion with Lear Center senior fellow Neal Gabler, Advertising Age publisher David Klein, and other leading industry figures discuss the importance of demographics in media.

In addition, former ABC marketing executive Steve Sohmer, McCann-Erickson Worldwide senior vice president Durk Barnhill, and AARP executive council member Anne Reed participate in the discussion on how entertainment programmers, marketers, and advertisers covet the 18-to-49 age group.

The panel examines how the demographic group's influence determines what the American public ultimately sees and hears in the media.

Martin Kaplan, USC Annenberg associate dean and director of the Lear Center, is set to moderate the discussion.

RSVPs must be received by April 4.
