Under the theme “Trojans of Ebony Hue: A Legacy of Giving,” USC BAA sponsors this awards and scholarship benefit spotlighting African American Alumni, Corporate Leaders and friends of the university.

Honorary Chair for the benefit, USC alumna Sandra Evers-Manly, Director Diversity, EEO and President, Northrop Grumman Foundation, welcomes everyone to attend this annual blacktie awards and scholarship event.

The Jazz Classics featuring Patrice Rushen and Ndugu Chancelor will provide the evening's entertainment while actor Meshach Taylor (Dave's World, Designing Women) serves as the Master of Ceremony.

2003 Award recipients include:
- Aulana Peters, 1st African American female to serve on the Securities Exchange Commission;
- Attorney Stephen D. Barnes, Barnes, Morris, Mark & Yorn;
- Catherine Thomas, Associate Dean USC Financial USC Financial Aid;
- Michael L. Jackson, Vice President USC Student Affairs;
- Sam Cunningham, Businessman and former All Pro New England Patriot;
- Gary Holloway, Operations Manager Miller Brewing Company;
- Renetta McCann, CEO of Starcom North America;
- Steve McKeever, CEO & Founder of Hidden Beach the Emè Award; and
- Ian V. Chestnut, Owner IVC Productions.

Money raised by the event will be used to fund graduate and undergraduate scholarships and programs for USC black students. The evening includes a reception, silent auction, dinner and the awards program.
