Los Angeles, California
United States (USA)

The Blooming of the Roses Festival is a celebration of the spring rose blooms at the Exposition Park Rose Garden and of the cultural resources and historical treasures in the area.

Programming for adults includes private (residential) garden tours, rose care demonstrations and a talk on rose garden design from Charles Follette of The Rose Garden Nursery in Santa Monica, and a slide presentation talk on the history of flower and agriculture festivals in Los Angeles by historian Victoria Dailey. For families, activities include crafts, flower dissections, a children's rose themed art contest and more.

This will be the fourth year the Figueroa Corridor Partnership and area stakeholders have sponsored the Rose Garden spring celebration. Each year the festivities get bigger and better. Support of the Blooming of the Roses celebration has become one of the Partnership's ongoing efforts to promote positive awareness of the area, and to enhance community and economic development.
