Sponsored by USC Annenberg School for Communication

Tue, April 15, 2003 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Admission: Free

Annenberg School for Communication (ASC)
207
University Park Campus

The discussions focus on issues central to the topics taught and studied at Annenberg, including the role of reporters in wartime and war coverage by US and world media.

Dean Geoffrey Cowan, along with communication and journalism faculty members, will be holding the fourth informal discussion on the war open to all students, faculty and staff.

Once again, the discussion will focus on issues central to the topics that we teach and study at Annenberg, including: the role of reporters in wartime; the coverage of the war by US and world media; the rhetoric of the discussion of the war by political and military leaders and others; the use of devices ranging from demonstrations to the Internet by supporters and opponents of the war; online coverage of the war; and the impact of the war and coverage on public opinion in the US, the UK and other nations.

Lunch will be provided.
