Admission: Free

Alfred Newman Recital Hall (AHF)

Come join cellist Ruslan Biryukov and pianist Mary Au in “An Evening of Chamber Music through Germany, France and Russia,” performing works by Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy and Shostakovich.

Ruslan, known for his “superb artistry and individuality,” represents a new generation of creative professional musicians whose artistry is recognized not only by awards, but also by a worldwide audience. He develops new ideas based upon traditions he learned from Rodin, Rostropovich, Shafran, Gutman, Starker and Schoenfeld. Mary is a much sought after collaborator and chamber musician whose artistry embodies her worldwide experience and diverse background. She received critical acclaim from the legendary Mme. Rosina Lhevinne and Brooks Smith for her “clean clear touch, sensitivity and superb artistry.” Together, they will create musical magic.
