Dr. Claudia Zwingmann's work addressed brain metabolism changes particularly in astrocytes.

Claudia Zwingmann, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
University of Bremen
Department of Organic/Analytical Chemistry, Germany

NMR spectroscopy is one the most powerful technologies for the study of time-related, quantitative metabolic responses in intact tissues (metabonomics) producing a comprehensive profile of metabolite signals.

Her current work addresses the changes in metabolic pathways in chronic liver failure, portacaval shunting and apoptosis of the liver. Some of this work has been presented at AASLD and DDW meetings.
