Biographical Information

I received a Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science at University of California, Irvine in 1981. I  have been on the faculty at USC since 1981. I am the founding director of the USC ATRIUM Laboratory, which My research interests include knowledge-based systems for (re)engineering complex business processes, CASE technologies for developing large heterogeneous information systems, and organizational analysis of system development projects. Dr. Scacchi is a member of ACM, IEEE, and AAAI. I am an active researcher with more than 80 research publications, and numerous consulting and visiting scientist postions with firms including AT&T Bell Laboratories, Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC), Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie-Mellon University, SUN Microsystems, Perceptronics, Hewlett-Packard, and Andersen Consulting.
