TCC A v/s TCC B, Feb 23rd, 1996 at Cromwell Athletics Field

Result: TCC B defeated TCC A by 3 wkts and 2.5 overs to spare

Report:

25 guys came to play this game. TCC A had 13 players and TCC B had 12. 12 
players took the field from both sides.

TCC A started slowly as Venu and Khan bowled quite economically for TCC B.
The regular fall of wickets was checked by some good batting by Ashutosh
(playing for the first time), Chakri(powerful on the leg side) and Ranesh
and Ashok(who prevented an early all-out). Venu was particularly fast and
Arvin was very unplayable as usual. However, TCC B gave away too many wides
and no-balls.

TCC A got early breakthroughs as Ravi and Shiva threatened to run over the
TCC B batting order. However, Atul and Ashwin batted patiently and stemmed
the tide of wickets. The two picked singles well and the flurry of wides and
no-balls helped TCC B's cause even more. But TCC A came right back by 
dismissing Atul, Venu and Karthik. Ashwin and Arvin ran exteremely well 
and stole quite a few runs to bring TCC B close to victory. Finally,
with only 2 wickets left, Arvin cut loose with some big hitting and TCC B
were home with 3 overs to spare. Ranesh was the pick of the TCC A bowlers
(3-2-2-2). Ashutosh was brilliant behind the stumps.
