Do I need any special software?
If you already chat with AIM,
Yahoo! Messenger, MSN
Messenger, or Google you can use your usual chat software. If you are unable
to install software on your computer, there are a couple of web-based
options. Meebo.com
and AIM
Express both allow you to log into your instant messaging account
via a web browser. AIM works only with AIM accounts, Meebo.com supports
AIM, Yahoo, and MSN.
With whom will I chat?
Your IM session connects you with the librarian at the Reference Desk.
Because the librarian may also be helping patrons in person and on the
phone, you may have to wait a couple of minutes for a response. Questions
are answered in the order they are received.
