Reserving a Library Venue
To request a venue, fill out the online Venue Reservation Form.
Although the USC Libraries allows its spaces to be used, we are not a full-service events department and offer only minimal services. If you need an Event Manager or event planning tools, please visit the Cultural Relations and University Events web site at www.usc.edu/dept/pubrel/specialevents for more information.
Our spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. After the form has been submitted, an applicant will be notified by a representative of the Libraries if the request has been approved.

About Library Venues
The most requested spaces are in Doheny Memorial Library's Intellectual Commons (room 233) and the Friends of the USC Libraries Lecture Hall (room 240).
Acceptable Use
The University's Libraries may be used only for one time academic-related activities, such as lectures, conferences, or readings. Due to high demand for our spaces from campus groups, we can not accept reservations for meeting space or other nonacademic uses.
Approved Requests
Online reservation requests must be received at least 2 weeks prior to your event.
Applicants should examine the venue and let us know if they have any questions or needs in regards to setting up the space.
It is the responsibility of the party organizing the event to arrange campus parking, guest check-in, audio-visual support, and catering services.
For directions to the closest parking lot, please review USC campus maps.
For audio-visual needs, if you are using the Intellectual Commons, Room 233 there is a podium and portable projection screen available. The Friends of the USC Libraries Lecture Hall, Room 240 has built-in audio with one microphone, projector and screen. Any additional audio-visual equipment will need to be provided by you.
You can arrange catering for your event from various on-campus facilities by contacting USC's Hospitality Services. Please provide linens to protect the tables and contact Aramark (213) 740-8968 in advance for room clean up and trash pick-up.

A request to use a venue may be denied if it will cause disruption to patron activities.
