- This collection contains ephemera, correspondence, and clippings documenting the career of stage and film actress Lillian Bronson (1902-1955). Bronson appeared in more than eighty films and was Fonzi’s grandmother on the television show Happy Days.

Biographical Note
Lillian Bronson was born in 1902 in Lockport, New York. She attended the Lockport Union High School, where she acted in a play directed by her English teacher. With her teacher's encouragement, Bronson studied dramatics at Bryn Mawr in Pennsylvania, and then attended the University of Michigan. She acted first in plays on Broadway and then began a screen career. She was in more than 80 feature films, including Camille with Lillian Gish, The Hucksters with Clark Gable, Spencer's Mountain with Henry Fonda, and Family Honeymoon with Claudette Colbert. Her work in television included the role as Fonzi's grandmother on Happy Days. She died August 3, 1995, at Laguna Beach, California.
