Over the course of its 125-year history, the USC Thornton School of Music has become one of the world’s most highly regarded institutions. A true distinction is the School’s ability to provide practical instruction, pairing rigorous professional training with acquisition of real-world industry navigation skills, all within the unique cultural landscape of Los Angeles. With this exceptional experience, Thornton musicians go on to become twenty-first century musical ambassadors in the music industry and beyond.

You may not be aware that tuition and endowment income do not cover all of Thornton’s operating expenses. In fact, USC Thornton relies heavily on the hundreds of alumni, parents and friends who pledge their support every year. These individuals understand the value of quality music education, and its importance in the advancement of the arts, entertainment, and ultimately, our society.
